Staffordshire Regiment Museum

22 June 2016

On Tuesday 21st June Pegasus class went to 'The Staffordshire regiment Museum' at Whittington. We had a super morning with a guide, who certainly knew his stuff, telling us all about the WW1 trenches. As we entered the trench, bombs and gun fire started and we all ducked, thinking it was real! We soon found out that it was just sound effects but it made the atmosphere very authentic.

We also tried on the Privates and Officers uniforms, which were generally pretty uncomfortable.

The outing has really made or Cornerstones Topic of WW1 more realist and easier to imagine.

Well done Pegasus for being good representatives for Shenstone.
